"Insta"-replay #21, better late than never

My replay is a little late this week, but I figured better late than never.  I was a bit distracted yesterday but the reason will have to wait for next weeks replay, spoilers.
We started last week by getting ready for dress rehearsal.  The more classes my girls take the more trouble it is to keep their hair in curls.
Charry's favorite class this year is tap.  She is very excited to be a penguin!  And an adorable penguin at that.
Merry is enjoying being a Fairy, although she is still disappointed that she's not an elf.
We moved school to a smaller room.  Two reasons: 1. Hope it is easier to keep warm. 2. I wanted the space cleared so I could put up Christmas decorations.
To prepare for winter break I put a deck of cards in my purse.  Cards are useful for all kinds of math games.  The trick is to not let your kids know they are learning.
The girls where happy to have cards to keep them busy while Aunt Kimi and I had coffee.
I stumbled across an oddly creative "doll?" Charry had constructed from barbie's stair case.  I'm at a loss as to why but it did make me laugh quite a bit.
Christmas decorations are out at our house!  I always start with the bear family.  There is one for each of us, even my husband.  He picked out the Christmas tree outfit one year and now it is tradition to dress up the bears.
My week ended with a concert.  My mom and her husband Bill are both members of a Choral, it was a pleasure to hear them sing, and even from the balcony I could see my mom smiling just like she always did in choir at church!

I enjoyed last week and I'm looking forward to next!  Turkey time, and maybe even a tree.

"Insta"-replay #20, lazy week

Last week went by quickly, I started a few projects but didn't get any "photo worthy."

We had fun looking at spiders outside.
I bought a sweater on clearance that I had had my eye on.
We went to my inlaws for a harvest dinner and had fun coloring pictures.
And my youngest got to experience the joy of teaching someone else a new game.

A nice quiet week.  Next we have holidays to prepare for and celebrate!

"Insta"-replay #19, oh and it was my birthday!

Christmas seems to start a bit earlier every year.  I have to say I am part of the problem, not the solution.
I was excited to see the pretty, festive cups at Starbucks.  I was also eager to try the Creme Brûlée Latte, and it did not disappoint.
Now that November is good and going it is time to celebrate all the birthdays!
Merry is starting to really work on her school.  She had to sort the puzzle pieces without knowing what they were suppose to look like.  Luckily she is also starting to enjoy challenges.
My sister-in-law surprised me with tickets to "an evening with America's Test Kitchen."  I loved the TV show so going to a live event was a treat.  It was also fun to have a surprise on my birthday!
School at Starbucks was a treat.  We looked very studious with our books and bags.
Merry received her first Pokemon deck.  Besides being a treat for her it also gives her sister a chance to use her own deck.
Charry had an exciting weekend, she got to go to her very first sleep over!  I think she enjoyed packing for her doll more than for herself.

This coming week I already have plans to rearrange for Christmas.   I think it is easier to be Thankful when it is "Merry and Bright."

"Insta"-replay #18, Halloween Fun

I know Halloween can come with controversy and sugar comas but for me it has always been the one day you can play dress up no matter how old you get or where you have to be.  Of course my little fashionistas always look like they are dressing up but this one day I get to join them!
Our week started with dressing up for dance class.  Sadly Merry's costume hadn't been made yet so she had to settle for being a princess.
The next day I managed to whip up a brownie elf costume.  It didn't take long thanks to Aunt Kim bringing over some felt.
Halloween itself was spent first at out local DQ.  The girls colored a picture and got a free ice cream cone!  They were very excited to eat ice cream before lunch!
I joined in the dress up fun!  Hipster Jedi used the force before it was cool.
Instead of trick-or-treating, we always go out with to eat with my inlaws on Halloween.  Aunt Katie doesn't usually dress up but she did borrow Charry's cat ears.
Once November started the week became more birthday fun less dressing up.  I discovered my beloved spouse had bought a special soda straw.  I think it's odd that he carries it around with him .
We attended a super fun party for cousin Lidi, complete with puppet show!
And had an early party for me!  With a fabulas cake, thanks Katie!

This next week will have more birthday fun and we'll start to gear up for Christmas!
