"Insta"-replay #32 , spring break

I've started to use my phone to blog, which is convenient and means I don't have to move photos from one device to the next.  It also means I have to make sure my post actually posts.  So this week there are to replays, one that I had written a few weeks ago and one that is a bit more "instant."

We have been busy the last few weeks.  We got a cat.  It is a farm cat and hasn't come close to us yet but it eats our food so it is ours!
The girls have enjoyed their cousin's spring break.  It has meant field trips for us.  Omsi was our most recent excursion.
There is something about the look of pride on her face that makes me proud. Learning and succeeding are great partners.
We spent time at my mom's before her spring vacation, Charry loves being old enough to help in the kitchen!
We also made time for a family movie.  I am a huge fans of all things muppets and this movie does not disappoint.  I can't wait to see it again!
We spent some time at home too.  The girls are helping with housework a bit more.
And since they are helping to clean they are able to get out some messier projects, like painting Pokemon princesses.
Sundays are usually spent at my inlaws, this week was no different.  What was different was Aunt Katie was in the middle of a large project for church.  It was great to see Charry's willingness to help.  Even though it wasn't the "funnest" time, she got the chance to serve.

One more week done and it wraps up the month as well.  Hard to believe April is coming so soon!

"Insta"-replay #31, is it Monday already.

This week kinda crept up on me. Just yesterday it was still last week.  I blame daylight savings.  That lost/found hour always throws me for a loop.  But last week time was normal.
We spent some silly time in the van with my sister's kid.
Visited my brother's kids.  It is amazing that I got them to sit down long enough for a picture!
We came with a bag of stuffed owls and left with a fish, Charry was very happy with the arrangement.  Hopefully they were too.
We took a field trip out to an air museum.
Kim showed her skills at the many hands on exhibits.
As the adults enjoyed walking around and learning about flight and the many different planes, the kids enjoyed buckling themselves into the plane seats that were set up around the museum.  The first time it was cute, by the end of the day it was less cute.
We ended the week celebrating.  My dear husband got a new job!  It is where he has been working but now he's a permanent employee.
The previous week Merry made a "memory" (glazed bunny.) this week she got to see the fired product.

Now on to this week, hopefully I'll get some sleep and remember to take a few pictures.

"Insta"-replay #30, this is what happens when I clean

You can always tell when I've been cleaning.  First the kids get to do crafty projects (since I usually find something I had been meaning to give them anyways.)  And second we end up leaving the house (out of frustration or a strong desire to keep it clean.)  This week I worked on cleaning the schoolroom (still a work in progress.)
While going through craft supplies I found kaleidoscope kits.  My mom had given to us last summer but they had been forgotten.  The kits were a little tricky but the kids managed to work together and get them done.
The finished product was actually pretty cool.  I'm not sure what I was expecting, but these were better.
We also spent time out of the house.  I tagged along with my sister to the local children's museum.  It had been a while since we visited so the girls enjoyed reseeing old exhibits.
They also enjoyed discovering what had changed.  A favorite change was the theatre room was converted to a fairy tale stage.
The outdoor play area at the children's museum is covered with "don't feed the squirrels" signs, this was the first time I saw an actual squirrel (I didn't feed it.)
The week ended with a belated birthday trip for Merry.  Aunt Katie took her to a ceramics painting studio.  She had so much fun picking out the project and choosing the different colors.  No doubt this rabbit will be in next weeks replay as well, when we see the finished project.
